Estancia Peuma Hue

The Estancia Peuma Hue sits on the banks of Lake Gutierrez in the Patagonian Lake District. This hotel and eco-lodge is just 20 minutes from Bariloche, but sits within 500 acres of wilderness in the Nahuel Huapi National Park.

The lodge accommodates a maximum of 28 guests, giving it an intimate feel. There are three private villas and two larger houses, each with four independent rooms and communal spaces that can be booked individually or accommodate large groups. All rooms have an elegant, rustic charm and lake views.

Guests dine together on home-cooked meals with produce from the estancia’s vegetable garden. There’s also a boardroom and non-denominational temple.

In the native Mapuche language, ‘Peuma Hue’ means ‘place of dreams’, and guests are invited to immerse themselves in nature. Go horse riding or trekking through the forests and mountains. Kayak, take a boat trip or go fishing on the lake. Alternatively, simply unwind in the spa.

Estancia Peuma Hue is located within the natural park of Nahuel Huapi, at the foot of the mountain Cathedral, a 35-minute drive from Bariloche International Airport.

The rooms on the property are traditionally decorated, spread across 4 separate houses with fine views of Gutierrez Lake and the rugged Andes beside it. The Poplar Lodge features 4 charming bedrooms with a balcony and private jacuzzi, with a total capacity of 9 guests. The Radal House also boasts 4 double bedrooms, a large living and dining room with a cosy stone fireplace, accommodating up to 8 guests. The Coihue Villa has 2 double rooms accommodating 4 to 5 guests, located in front of the vegetable garden and a garage with an Argentine style barbeque. The Mountain Villa is situated in the dreamiest location, with exhilarating views over the lake and mountains in front and a deep canyon that boasts 5 wonderful waterfalls amid a primeval forest at its back. The Creek Cabin is a cosy log bungalow with a double bedroom, a living room and a fully-equipped kitchen.
