Ortelius
The Arctic , AntarcticaOrtelius is a fantastic ice-strengthened vessel which enables it to navigate through solid one-year sea ice and multi-year ice packs as well as access remote areas not reached by the larger ships.
There’s a wide selection of cabin types from shared quads to suites with the option of shared or private bathrooms for up to 116 passengers across 53 cabins. The cabins are comfortable with all modern amenities, and the emphasis is on offering an authentic expeditionary vessel and spending as much time as possible exploring the seas.
Meals are served in the dining room and there are also plenty of spacious public areas including an observation lounge, open deck space, and an open bridge policy where you can watch the crew at work, plotting the journey on charts and looking out for whales.
Many exciting activities are available such as zodiac cruises, hikes, wildlife watching, kayaking, snowshoeing, mountaineering, camping, diving and helicopter rides.
