Mont Rochelle provides 22 rooms and suites with huge windows and spectacular views. Décor is stylish featuring local pieces, large upholstered headboards, vibrant fabrics and pretty throws. Some come with terraces or French doors leading to the delightful gardens.
The main restaurant serves daily changing menus, and the informal country kitchen, attached to the cellar, also serves local fare.
Days can be as action-packed or relaxed as you wish. Laze by the large heated pool, find the perfect picnic spot on the estate, take a stroll into Franschhoek, hop on the famous wine tram or indulge in a massage at the spa. Wine tours, horse riding, hiking, biking and trout fishing are all available in the valley.

Mont Rochelle is located in Franschhoek in South Africa’s Cape Winelands, an hour’s drive from Cape Town.

The hotel comprises 22 rooms including six suites, all arranged around the main building. There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds, egg-shaped baths and courtyard or valley views, six larger Merlot Rooms, six Cabernet Rooms with private terraces, four Pinotage Suites and two Cap Classique Suites, which come with plunge pools.

There are endless activities on offer including biking, hiking, horse riding, cellar tours, wine tastings and golf. You can also hit the gym or be pampered at the spa.
Children
