Brazil for Families
With so much to see and do in this huge country, it is important to get the balance right when exploring Brazil. This 12 day family adventure is an exciting combination of vibrant Rio de Janeiro, the incredible wildlife of the Pantanal wetlands and the huge Iguassu Falls, ending with a few days on the fine beaches of Buzios.

Day 1
Arrival
Upon arriving at Rio de Janeiro airport, you will be met and transferred to your beach front hotel. Spend three nights at Hotel Santa Teresa.

Day 2
Private tour of Rio de Janeiro
Your private guide will take you to see the highlights of Rio today. Stroll along the most famous beaches in the world, Copacabana and Ipanema, before you head up Corcovado’s Christ the Redeemer statue for stunning views across Rio and Guanabara Bay. Take the cable car up to the viewing decks atop Sugarloaf Mountain, see the many beaches, mountains and even the favelas of this magnificent city.

Day 3
Day at leisure in Rio de Janeiro
Day to explore the city further or simply relax at your hotel. We can arrange plenty of exciting activities such as cycle rides along the beach fronts, helicopter flights for the best view of the skyline, visits to community projects in the city’s favelas and classes to cook a typical Brazilian seafood stew or make the finest caiprinha cocktails, Brazil’s national drink.

Day 4
From Rio de Janeiro to Iguazu Falls
Airport transfer this morning for your flight to Iguazu. On arrival transfer to your hotel in the heart of the Iguazu National Park, only a short stroll from the mighty Iguazu Falls. Two nights at Belmond das Cataratas Hotel.

Day 5
Iguazu Falls
Your private guide will take you across the border to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, an extensive area of jungle walkways, exotic fauna and of course the falls themselves – the panoramic viewing platforms above the Devil’s Throat Gorge are a definite highlight. Afterwards take the exhilarating Gran Aventura boat ride to experience the power for the falls from below (shared basis).

Day 6
From Iguazu Falls to Pantanal
Today you will fly via Sao Paulo to Campo Grande where you are transferred to your luxury lodge in the heart of the Pantanal, a wetlands area incredibly rich in wildlife including many bird species, reptiles and mammals ranging from capybara and Howler Monkeys to Giant Anteaters and the elusive jaguar.
Spend three nights at Caiman Lodge, a full board stay including meals, soft drinks and guided excursions and transfers on a shared basis. Private guides can be arranged at extra cost.

Day 7

Spend your days taking expertly guided excursions (shared basis) in the Pantanal. You have two excursions each day such as canoeing, jeep safaris, photographic safaris and walking plus night safaris. Specialist bird watching can also be arranged at extra cost.

Beach time in Buzios
Billed as the St Tropez of Brazil, there is much to do in the area. Perhaps rent a beach buggy to explore the pretty coastline and to find a quiet spot on one of the 20-plus beaches found on the peninsula. There is a beach to suit every taste whether you are looking to surf, find calm waters suitable for families or grab a spot at one of the hip lounges for those looking for a livelier day on the beach!
