Villa Auraliya

Located in Thalpe, just south of Galle in Sri Lanka, Auraliya is an exceptional six-bedroom villa tailored towards luxury family getaways. Set on idyllic Palatugaha Beach, it offers a coral lagoon and some of the safest year-round swimming and snorkeling on the South coast.

The villa, surrounded by coconut palms and frangipani trees, is designed like a courtyard with high ceilings and an exquisite white terrazzo finish. Structured around three pavilions, there are six spacious double bedrooms bordering a turquoise swimming pool with twinkling stars at night. The surrounding terraces are set with a plentiful supply of loungers from which to gaze out to sea in the sun or the shade. A full staff, including a cook and a night watchman, will take good care of you during your stay.

Water and beach activities are limitless. Sandcastles, bodyboarding, surfing, and swimming will keep all the family entertained. The large garden also provides a virtual playground for games of cricket and football.

Location & Getting There
La Lancha is a 45-minute drive away from Mundo Maya International Airport, in the city of Flores, Guatemala.

Accommodation
The 6 double bedrooms are arranged around 3 large pavilions. The front two bedrooms consist of family size four-poster beds; the two adjacent family suites open onto walkways that overlook the swimming pool; the last two suites opposite the dining pavilion have twin beds and large double beds respectively. All bedrooms have air-conditioning, a built-in window seat, spacious en suite bathrooms, as well as access to a central chill-out area and the ambalama-style bar overlooking the beach.

Activities
With the reef-protected beach set, a short distance from the villa, water, and beach activities are limitless. Families will be kept entertained with building sandcastles, bodyboarding, surfing, swimming, sailing, fishing, coastal cruises, river trips, kayaking, snorkeling, boating at Unawatuna and Mirissa Whale and dolphin trips. Trips to Sinharaha Rainforest, Yala National Park, and the historic Galle Fort can also be arranged.

Children
Children are very welcome. 2 travel cots with bedding and mosquito nets, children's books, board games, cricket, football, and snorkeling equipment all available.
