De L’Europe sits in the heart of the city, overlooking the Amstel River, the distinctive city canals, and the magnificent merchant houses that line the narrow streets. Built-in 1896, today it still retains its original architecture, but alongside some thoroughly modern touches.

The hotel boasts a distinctive décor, with original works of the Dutch Masters adorning the walls. Following extensive renovations in 2010, the hotel was transformed, fusing timeless design with 21st-century comfort. One hundred and eleven beautifully appointed guestrooms, including 23 luxurious suites, epitomize gracious elegance with bold colors, plush carpeting, hardwood floors, custom fabrics, and fine linens.
