Chan Chich Lodge

One of the most highly rated jungle lodges in Belize, Chan Chich Lodge is set on the great plaza of an ancient Maya ruin. Being in the heart of the Gallon Jug Estate, with its protected acres of wilderness, there is no shortage of things to see and do.

Twelve rustic yet comfortable thatched cottages are decked out with dark hardwoods and large bathrooms to provide guests with modern amenities while being in the middle of the forest. The indoor and outdoor pools at Chan Chich Lodge provide guests with the perfect opportunity to recharge and relax, even under the stars.

Guests are also in for a treat at the restaurant where 60% of the produce is sourced from the farms on the premises. Expect the freshest local ingredients as you tuck into a variety of delicious Belizean dishes.

Location & Getting There

Nestled in the Gallon Jug Estate in Northwestern Belize, Chan Chich Lodge is a 3-4 hour drive away from Belize International Airport. Alternatively, guests may wish to hop on a 30-minute flight into the Gallon Airstrip followed by a 15-minute car ride to Chan Chich Lodge.

Accommodation

All twelve cottages at Chan Chich Lodge are locally handcrafted and built on top of the Mayan Temple the property protects, making each cottage unique. Guests can take in surrounding garden views and enjoy birdsong as they relax in hammocks on their wrap around veranda in the Deluxe Cottage. Families can enjoy the ample space of two bedrooms and two bathrooms with bathtubs in the Luxury Cottage. All rooms come with biodegradable organic soaps in an effort to keep the carbon footprint down.
