Blancaneaux Lodge

Blancaneaux Lodge is a luxury hideaway hotel located in a secluded corner of the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve in western Belize’s Cayo District. This means that guests can expect tranquility during their stay - look out for GM Bernie who has been with the hotel for the past two decades.

Twenty thatched cabanas and villas dot the banks of the Privasson River, giving guests easy access to the ever-present breeze from the forest. Rooms come with either a screened-in porch with hammock, or a huge private deck for guests to be lulled to sleep by the sounds of nature. All rooms feature wicker and mahogany furniture to blend in seamlessly with the jungle surroundings.

There’s a freshwater infinity pool surrounded by a stone patio where handcrafted mahogany sun loungers line the edge of the water. The adults-only spa, set right on the bank of the river, is an idyllic setting for guests to unwind.

Guests at Blancaneaux Lodge can pick their dinner from the garden. Book an evening with the gardener for him to take you around and later, dine on the produce you’ve selected.

With a spacious private deck overlooking the falls, the Honeymoon Cabana is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom villas and family cabanas are ideal for families thanks to their open-air living room with a small kitchen and full bath. For those looking to indulge, the Enchanted Cottage comes with a hardwood deck, an infinity pool, a Japanese tub and a steam room, all with panoramic views of the jungle.

Activities

Enjoy a soothing spa session or take a dip in the cooling waters of the river. Guests can also explore Noj Kaax Meen Elijio Panti National Park, just a few miles away; visit ancient Mayan Xunantunich and Caracol ruins; or head to San Ignacio Town for a stroll.
