Asilia Africa's luxury escape offers a sophisticated base to explore this wilderness, home to 10% of the world’s lions as well as Tanzania’s largest elephant population.
There are eight elegant guest suites constructed from wood, stone and other natural materials. Louvered shutters blur the boundary between inside and out, allowing a perfect view from your king-size bed. The en suites have hot rainshowers and flushing toilets, and each tent has a private veranda. There is also an exclusive use property on site - Jabali Private House which accommodates 4 adults and 2 children.
All meals are homemade, from bush breakfast picnics to light buffet lunches and three-course dinners served under the stars. The infinity pool provides respite on warm afternoons, and there’s a spa with a focus on rejuvenation after a day’s adventuring.
Safari activities at the camp include day and night nature drives and walking safaris, hot-air ballooning, cultural activities and a photographic safari on an adapted vehicle for taking photos.
