Melton Manor

Melton Manor is a luxury four-bedroom safari villa located at Kwandwe, a Malaria-free game reserve in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, close to the Garden Route. This elegant frontier farmhouse combines distinctive South African style with contemporary comforts and offers spectacular views of the Fish River and Afromontane forests.

The four expansive and stylish bedrooms are designed around a central courtyard with a large swimming pool. These relaxing retreats feature oversized beds, large verandas and freestanding bathtubs overlooking the bush – perfect for relaxing in as you admire the views.

Start the day with a morning game drive in search of cheetah, black rhino or elephant. Back at the lodge enjoy a lavish breakfast, then head out on a bush walk or relax by the pool before setting off on an afternoon game drive.

Location & Getting There

Melton Manor is located within the Kwandwe Game Reserve on South Africa’s Eastern Cape. It's within easy reach of the Garden Route and Port Elizabeth airport is a two-hour drive away.

Accommodation

It accommodates up to eight guests in four spacious and stylish rooms with butler hatches for discreet room service, lavish bathrooms with freestanding tubs and huge verandahs. Each room features a calm neutral palette with the use of textured fabrics and hides, alongside wood, stone, pewter, ceramic and wicker.

Activities

As well as game drives, activities include guide walks, fishing, canoeing, bush picnics and rhino tracking.

Children

Melton Manor is ideal for families, and children of all ages are welcome. There are a host of tailor-made activities from bush walks to baking on offer for kids and the reserve is malaria-free. Children’s menus are available and childminders can be arranged (at no additional cost).
