Volcanoes National ParkSabyinyo Silverback Lodge is a gorilla lodge located in the rugged landscape of Volcanoes National Park. As one of the most thrilling and dramatic wildlife terrains in the world, the property enjoys views over the Virunga Volcanoes and the foothills that wind between the range.
Guest cottages and the main lodge have been expertly constructed and appointed in authentic Rwandese style. Five cottages, two suites, and one family cottage feature terra cotta tile roofs, fireplaces and sheltered verandas. Large seating areas, welcoming beds and stylish en suite bathrooms provide all the comforts of home.
Meals can be savoured in the dining room or al fresco on the outside deck.
The lodge is run by a community trust that uses the guest fees to drive socio-economic conservation initiatives in the surrounding communities and schemes that play a vital role in preserving the landscape where gorillas, monkeys and birds roam wild.

Saybinyo Silverback Lodge is located in Volcanoes National Park, with views over the Virunga Volcanoes range and the Parc National des Volcans. Kigali International Airport is 2 hours by car.

Guest cottages at Saybinyo Silverback Lodge are privately situated in the folds of the hills, offering stunning views of the Virunga volcanoes and the foothills that wind between the range. 5 cottages, 2 suites, and 1 family suite sit among landscaped gardens. All are stone buildings with traditional Rwandese terra cotta tile roofs, large sitting areas, romantic fireplaces, stylish ensuite bathrooms, and sheltered verandas – the perfect spot to relax at sunset.
