Like fashion and food, art is no longer so elitist. The entry level has dropped. Three quarters of Columbia Road is filled with great stores. There is also the new Damien Hirst gallery on Newport Street. The first exhibition is John Hoyland. It used to be where they stored scenery for the theatre so you have this vast space with high ceilings. It’s a great place to see art.
