Four Seasons Tamarindo

Pacific Coast, Mexico

On the Pacific coast of Mexico, Tamarindo is where vibrant jungle meets the ocean. Set within a 3,000-acre private nature reserve, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo offers guests the chance to discover an untouched region of Mexico where biodiversity, culture, and natural beauty thrive. Only a tiny fraction of the reserve is developed, leaving room for lush jungle, quiet beaches and abundant wildlife. The design blends contemporary style with subtle pre-Hispanic and artisanal details. Guests can enjoy three beaches (two swimmable), 26 miles of trails, an 18-hole David Fleming golf course, and a striking spa overlooking the Pacific. The resort is an ideal setting for a luxury vacation to Mexico, with an abundance of activities in nature, world-class dining, and exceptional facilities for families.

Accommodation

The resort has 157 rooms, suites and villas, all with wide ocean views and private terraces. Some suites come with plunge pools, while villas and beach houses (ranging from 3- to 6-bedrooms) are perfect for a luxury family vacation to Mexico or for groups of friends wanting extra space and privacy. Interiors combine clean lines with handcrafted Mexican textiles and art, ensuring each stay feels refined but full of character and warmth.

Experiences

Guests can explore the reserve with guided hikes, birdwatching, diving, fishing, whale watching, and sunset cruises. Family experiences include scavenger hunts, movies under the stars, and night explorations with the resident biologist. Culinary workshops and tastings are perfect for foodies, and the spa's signature treatments are perfect for when you’re in need of a moment to yourself.

Children

Perfect for a luxury family vacation to Mexico, the resort offers a dedicated Kids Club (ages 5–12) and a Teens Club for older children. Families can also enjoy nature-led activities and experiences designed for all ages.

Sustainability

The resort is committed to protecting its environment and community. Initiatives include its farm-to-table programme at Rancho Ortega, the elimination of single-use plastics, and partnerships with local artisans and conservationists to keep the cultural and natural heritage of the Costalegre region thriving.

Best Time to Visit

November to May is dry season, with clear skies and sunny beach days. The green season, from June to October, brings lusher landscapes and quieter stays. Whale-watching peaks between December and March.

How to Get There

The resort is a 30–35 minute transfer from Manzanillo Costalegre International Airport (ZLO). Private AeroTamarindo flights from Puerto Vallarta can also be arranged.
