The Istana

Located on the southwestern tip of Bali in Uluwatu, the Istana is a private luxury estate with five bedrooms resting on a large area of west-facing clifftop with unparalleled sunset views.

The house unifies modern and antique – it has an oriental approach to style, serenity, and detail, with a dose of European influence and elegance. The main house has a living space, dining room, entertainment area (the Dotcom room), and four guest bedroom suites. A separate guesthouse comprises the master suite.

Both buildings are single-story and open-air, inspiring a natural ambiance while accentuating the breathtaking view. The suites each have a network of staff providing a luxury hotel level of service, restaurant-standard food, a full-time manager, butlers, and a chauffeur.

The villa chef offers unmatched dining experiences for all guests. The menu features an array of dishes, both western and oriental. The chef’s special Balinese dishes are a must-try.

Accommodation
It is is a private luxury estate with 5 bedrooms resting on a large area of west-facing clifftop with unparalleled sunset views. The Master Suite boasts a palatial bedroom pavilion with a huge bathroom, sun terrace, swimming pool, and private veranda with a daybed where extraordinary ocean vista unfolds beyond a wall of glass. Ocean Suites boast indoor and outdoor showers where the sound of the surf and the scent of the sea escort the stunning ocean views. Garden Suites enjoy a private walled sunbathing area, a raised terrazzo tub, and a daybed. To the back of the villa, lies the children's bunk room that accommodates 4 younger guests.

Activities
Have a taste of the many and varied activities on offer within reach of the villa. Activities include visits to the Uluwatu Temple perched atop a cliff above the Indian Ocean, paragliding courses at Timbis Beach, a seafood feast at Jimbaran while admiring the stunning sunset, Bali Golf, and Country Club Nusa Dua, Waterbom Bali Park, and Seminyak, Bali’s most cosmopolitan enclave.

Children
Children are welcome and very well catered for. Babysitting can be arranged. There is a games room with a pool table, Wii and PS3, kids’ DVDs, CDs, books, and toys.
