Raffles Bali

Bali

Perched above Bali's Jimbaran Bay, Raffles Bali is an all-villa resort set across a wide stretch of tropical hillside. The setting is a real highlight, with open views across the bay and access down to a quiet strip of sandy beach below – something that’s increasingly rare in this part of Bali. Despite being just 20 minutes from the airport, it feels removed from the busier parts of the island. With only a small number of villas and plenty of space between them, it’s a strong option if you’re looking for somewhere to properly switch off without going too far.

Accommodation

There are 32 villas, all with private pools and ocean-facing views. They’re spacious and well laid out, with separate living areas, large bathrooms, and outdoor terraces that open onto private gardens. Interiors are contemporary, with high ceilings, warm wood finishes, and subtle Balinese detailing. Sightlines are carefully designed so that from the bedroom, you’re looking straight through the villa towards the pool and out to the ocean. Each villa comes with butler service, which works well for arranging meals, getting around the resort by buggy, or organising plans outside the hotel.

Food & Drink

Rumari is the main restaurant, serving Indonesian and Southeast Asian dishes with a more refined approach. It’s open for dinner and makes the most of its elevated position overlooking the bay. Loloan Beach Bar and Grill is down by the beach and offers a more relaxed setting, with seafood and grilled dishes for lunch and dinner. The Writers Bar is a smaller space for drinks and light bites. In-villa dining is also a strong option here, particularly for breakfast or a quieter evening.

Activities

The focus here is more on relaxing than filling your schedule. Most guests spend time in their villa, by the main pool, or down at the beach. There’s a spa offering a range of treatments, along with a fitness centre. If you want to explore, we can arrange visits to nearby temples, cultural experiences, or day trips to other parts of Bali. The beach is a real highlight – quiet, and a good spot for a walk or to catch the sunset.

Children

Children are welcome, and the larger villas offer plenty of space for families. While there’s no dedicated kids’ club, the resort does offer a range of activities, including nature-based experiences and cultural workshops such as Balinese dressing, craft sessions, and cooking activities. Babysitting can also be arranged. The overall atmosphere remains calm, so it tends to suit families looking for a quieter stay.

Best Time to Go

Bali can be visited year-round. The dry season from May to October usually offers the best weather, though the shoulder months can be a good alternative.

How to Get There

Raffles Bali is around a 20-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Private transfers can be arranged.

Why we recommend Raffles Bali

Raffles Bali stands out for its setting and abundant space. The combination of ocean views, a quieter stretch of beach, and a limited number of villas makes it feel more private than many resorts in southern Bali, while still being very easy to reach.
