Stuart Butler

Stuart Butler is the author of the Lonely Planet guidebooks to Kenya and Tanzania. In 2015 Stuart and Josphat Mako, a Maasai friend, spent six weeks walking across Kenya’s Maasai lands and talking to people about contemporary Maasai life, wildlife and conservation. Stuart’s book about this walk and the people he met, Once We Were Lions, will be out in early 2017.
