Francine
UAE Commercial Operations ManagerFrancine grew up in Munich, surrounded by the Bavarian alps.
She travelled extensively in Europe during her childhood and grew up believing that new places have the power to open your eyes and mind. After graduating from language school she studied for six months in France. Given her love of exploration, it’s no surprise that she joined Germany’s biggest tour operator as a Travel Consultant.
Obsessed by travel, after five years Francine quit her job to travel the world. She qualified as a PADI Dive Instructor, and with this new qualification under her belt, she worked at exclusive resorts in Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, the Maldives and the Philippines, teaching diving to students of all ages. Living on boutique islands also gave Francine a personal insight into the expectations and needs of guests on a luxury holiday.
Francine relocated to Dubai in 2009 and explored the region before joining Lightfoot Travel as UAE Commercial Operations Manager.
Her favourite part of the job is the challenge of seeking out new and exotic experiences for clients, and using her own experience and adventures so others can fulfill their travel dreams.

- Memory: Going on safari at Etosha National Park in Namibia -The leopard trekking was awesome, and I returned with so many amazing memories from Africa that will last for a lifetime.
- Road Trip: Italy - We passed through Lake Garda, Venice, Tuscany and Umbria. I adore the Italian lifestyle that combines art, history, and traditions. Evenings were spent drinking prosecco and eating pasta in the hill towns.
- Favourite Dive Sites - Indonesia, Maldives, Australia and Oman. You cannot beat bioluminescence night dives in the middle of the Indian ocean, and knowing that certain sea creatures such as sharks are hiding during the day and only come out after dark.
