Belmond El Encanto

Belmond El Encanto is a beautifully restored hotel combining cool glamour with a laidback style. A landmark since the 1920s, this is one of the most iconic hotels in Santa Barbara, sitting proudly amongst the hills and overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Ninety-two bungalows and suites come with a sophisticated and romantic feel and offer all mod cons and snazzy bathrooms, including heated stone marble floors. Many have private outdoor space with views of the lush landscape.

The infinity-edged swimming pool is the perfect spot to stop and get back to nature. Seven acres of landscaped gardens will please those who love a leisurely stroll, and the spa offers some wonderful signature treatments.

The hotel’s restaurant serves dishes using French classic techniques with a California-coastal edge and can be savored in the dining room, lounge, wine room, bar, or on the terrace. We recommend sampling the Belmond El Encanto cheese crafted from milk provided by Ellie, the resort’s resident cow.
