Beyond the Usual Path in Sri Lanka

Day 1

Arrival - Kalkudah Beach House, East Coast

Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be privately transferred from the airport to Kalkudah Beach House. A road transfer will be approximately 6 hours, or an internal flight can also be arranged. 

Spend the afternoon at your leisure, settling into the slow pace of Island life. Enjoy a sunset sea swim followed by a sundowner and dinner at the property's restaurant. 

Day 2

Kalkudah Beach House, East Coast

Spend the morning at your leisure, relishing in a peaceful tropical breakfast and taking time to explore the property. 

After a light lunch, you will be taken on a boat trip, visiting famous snorkelling and diving spots, where you can witness the vibrant marine life of the Indian Ocean. 

Later, you will have the evening to yourself, unwinding with dinner at the property or a nearby local restaurant. 

Day 3

Kalkudah Beach House, East Coast

Today can be spent entirely at your own pace.

Whether that's lounging by the pool, strolling on the beach and kayaking , visiting nearby sites or enjoying a cooking class. Our travel expert will be able to advise you on the activities that are best suited to your group. 

Spend your last evening at Kalkudah Beach House with a scenic beachside dinner. 

Day 4

Kalkudah Beach House to Gal Oya Lodge

After breakfast, you will take a 2.5-hour private transfer to your next property, Gal Oya Lodge. Nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka's wilderness, this secluded ecolodge will be your home for the next two nights. 

After settling in, enjoy a gentle sunset hike to a nearby viewpoint, followed by dinner at the property's restaurant. 

Day 5

Gal Oya Lodge

Today begins early with a sunrise adventure, featuring the island's only river safari surrounded by dramatic Jurassic Park-like landscapes. Afterwards, you can enjoy a late breakfast back at the property. 

In the afternoon, take advantage of some of the property's activities, with your travel consultant advising you on the best experiences for your party.  

Later, relax over an intimate dinner at the property. 

Day 6

Gal Oya Lodge

Today will be another early start with a sunrise hike, followed by a relaxing breakfast at the property. 

Spend the afternoon at your own pace, enjoying a cooking class, getting stuck into a good book or unwinding with a soothing massage. 

At sunset, explore the national parks surroundings with another boat safari, spotting some of Sri Lanka's beautiful wildlife. End your day with an intimate dinner at the property. 

Day 7

Gal Oya Lodge to Nine Skies, Hill Country

Your morning will start with a local breakfast, followed by a 3-hour private transfer to your next property, Nine Skies, just outside of Ella. 

Settle yourself into your new property, which boasts impressive views of the picturesque Hill Country. Spend the afternoon exploring the property, relaxing with a book, taking in the incredible views, or visiting the local town. 

Spend the evening relishing in gourmet dining, overlooking the tranquil gardens. 

Day 8

Nine Skies, Hill Country

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast before embarking on a day of activities. Your travel consultant can advise you on the best experiences for your party, with options including zip-lining, hiking, visits to tea plantations and recommendations for charming local restaurants for lunch. 

At the end of the afternoon, unwind with a relaxing bath whilst the hotel team prepare sundowner drinks to be enjoyed on the verandah. 

End your day with dinner at the property or a nearby restaurant. 

Day 9

Nine Skies to Fort Bazaar, Galle

Savour your final breakfast at Nine Skies, surrounded by sweeping mountain views, before heading south to Galle Fort. A private four-hour transfer will take you to your next stay, the charming Fort Bazaar.

Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the picturesque streets of Galle Fort or simply relaxing by the pool. 

For dinner, explore Galle Fort's dining scene, as recommended by your travel expert.

Day 10

Fort Bazaar, Galle

Spend the entire day at your leisure, going for breakfast and perusing the boutique-lined streets of Galle Fort, popping into art galleries or relaxing at your hotel, soaking up the last bits of sun by the pool or with a soothing massage at their in-house spa. 

Your last supper will be enjoyed at the property's chic restaurant.  

Day 11

Departure

This morning, your luxury holiday in Sri Lanka comes to a close. After breakfast, take a private transfer to the airport to begin your onward journey.
