Uganda Primate Safari
“A gorilla and chimp tracking activity is a once in a lifetime experience and we strongly suggest doing it twice to truly appreciate the experience and meet different families each time.”

Day 1
Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation in Entebbe.
The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.

Day 2
Kibale National Park
Meet your guide for the early morning flight to Kasese airstrip where you’ll be transferred to your accommodation perched on the rim of an extinct volcano in Kibale National Park. An area of evergreen rainforest, the park is a primate’s paradise and home to an astonishing diversity of birds.
In the afternoon, visit the beautiful crater lakes.

Day 3
Kibale National Park
Head into Kibale National Park in search of chimpanzees. Once you’ve located them, spend up to an hour observing the family group. You may also spot some of the other 13 species of primates living here, including red colobus monkeys, black-faced vervet monkeys, and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey.
After lunch, visit the conservation project at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Day 4
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This morning you’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of Africa’s richest ecosystems. After checking into your camp, there’ll be a choice of activities including forest walks, game drives, cultural visits with the Batwa people, and birdwatching.

Day 5
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
For the next few days you’ll be trekking deep into Bwindi in search of gorillas, which can take between one and five hours. But once you’ve tracked down these magnificent creatures you can spend an hour in their company. We include two trips so you can experience two different family groups.
After the morning gorilla excursions, take a forest walk to the Muyanga Waterfalls and join a guided community walk.

Day 6
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Spend the day at your own leisure - trekking through the forest and tracking gorillas or relaxing at the camp.

Day 7
