This dystopian mountain is nestled in the Wuling mountain range of Guizhou. Fangjing is a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve known for its dramatic peaks, rich biodiversity, and sacred Buddhist heritage. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018, its cloud-wreathed summits and ancient temples make it a place of profound natural beauty and spiritual significance.
