Accommodation

The hotel’s four mirrored shelters offer striking modern architecture. Each sits in a separate corner of the estate, by the lake, within the vineyard, or overlooking the valley, and includes a private terrace and plunge pool. Interiors feature expansive glass walls that let you take in the sunrise without leaving your bed.

Food and Drink

Produce is sourced directly from the on-site organic gardens and served at a hilltop communal table. Meals feature meats cooked over fire, and evenings are reserved for wine tastings overlooking the very vines from which the wines were made. The estate is also home to the highest vineyard in Uruguay, which has been producing award-winning wines since 2014.

Experiences

Wine is central to the property, from tastings with views of the Maldonado mountains to private tours of the century-old winery in Jacksonville, Montevideo. Guests can also explore the estate on horseback or on guided hikes through the indigenous mountain landscape. Best Time to go

The best time to visit Sacromonte is during spring (September to November) and autumn (March to April), when mild temperatures and clear skies offer perfect conditions for enjoying the surrounding landscapes. The summer months from late November to February are popular, however January and February can bring intense heat, while August tends to be cooler with occasional rain.

Children

Children are welcome, and the expansive grounds and private shelters make it a great option for a luxury family holiday in Uruguay. Please note there are no facilities solely dedicated to children, such as kids' clubs.

How to Get There

Sacromonte is a 2-hour private transfer from Carrasco International Airport. It is also reachable via a 1-hour transfer from José Ignacio.
