This stylish boutique hotel is hidden high up in the Blue Mountains on a 26-acre estate with spectacular views over Kingston. In the restaurant, traditional dishes such as lamb curry and fish stew get a subtle contemporary and local twist.
Additional excellent facilities include a bar, pool with a view, and a spa. Strawberry Hotel is made for relaxation, whether you choose to sip a rum punch by the infinity pool as you admire the views or be pampered by a therapist.
Strawberry Hill Information
Location & Getting There
Strawberry Hill is located in the Blue Mountains, a 50-minute road transfer from Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport in Jamaica.
It comprises 12 white, wood-framed suites, cottages, and villas. There are 5 Studio Suites, 4 Studio Cottages, 2 2-bed villas, and 1 1-bed villa. Expect inviting four-poster beds draped in white muslin, mahogany furniture, shuttered windows, verandahs with mountain views, and all modern amenities. Some rooms feature deep-soaking bathtubs.
There is an array of excursions on offer include guided hikes to hidden waterfalls and remote villages, visits to the Bob Marley Museum, and the National Gallery as well as a trip to Lyme Cay Beach. You can also swim, take a yoga class, or be pampered at the hotel spa.
Children are welcome although there are no specific facilities for them and the hotel has a quiet atmosphere. There are lots of steps and steep drops so it’s not recommended for young children. Family accommodation is available.
At Strawberry Hill, the infinity pool is the place to be; it’s cooler and since the 1940’s it has played host to the go-to traditional Sunday tea. What's obvious from the start at this property is that it really doesn’t feel like a hotel - more like the family home it once was. While the location is ideal for exploring Kingston and the Blue Mountains, it’s also perfect for simply unplugging and unwinding.
