Six Senses Ninh Van Bay

With its dramatic rock formations overlooking the South China Sea, powder-white beach below and jungle-covered mountains rising behind, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay remains one of Vietnam’s most distinctive luxury beach stays. Accessible only by water, the resort still captures the castaway, barefoot spirit Six Senses is known for, with villas spread across the beach, hillside and granite rock formations of the bay.

Built to reflect local architectural traditions, the 62 villas have a strong connection to their natural surroundings, and all come with private pools . Much of the resort’s produce is grown in its organic gardens, while sustainability remains central to the wider Six Senses philosophy through coral restoration projects, onsite water bottling and conservation initiatives across the surrounding region.

With turquoise water and quiet beaches on its doorstep, guests can spend their days kayaking, sailing, snorkelling or hiking through the surrounding hills. Vietnamese cooking classes, illuminated kayak excursions, outdoor ‘Cinema under the Stars’ screenings and wellness experiences all add to the slower rhythm of life here.

Location & Getting There

Accessible only by boat, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is approximately one hour by road from Cam Ranh Airport, followed by a 20-minute speedboat transfer across the bay. Nha Trang connects easily with Vietnam’s major cities, including Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Accommodation

The resort’s 62 villas are positioned either along the beachfront, within the hillside or built directly into the dramatic rock formations overlooking the bay. Beachfront Pool Villas offer direct beach access and private gardens, while Hill Top Pool Villas enjoy wider views and greater seclusion among the greenery.

Rock Pool Villas and Water Pool Villas are among the resort’s most distinctive stays, with large timber decks suspended above the water and direct sea access below. For larger families or groups, the Rock Retreat, Hill Top Reserve and Water Reserve offer expansive multi-bedroom layouts with large pools, outdoor dining areas and exceptional privacy. The Rock Retreat and Water Reserve also feature waterslides dropping directly into the pools.

Activities

Guests can spend their days kayaking across the bay, sailing, snorkelling, fishing or hiking through the surrounding hills to hidden coves and lookout points. Vietnamese cooking classes using herbs picked from the resort gardens are particularly popular, while guided nature experiences, sunset cruises and island-hopping excursions can also be arranged.

Within the resort, there is a recently upgraded tennis court alongside two new pickleball courts. Wellness remains a large part of the Six Senses experience too, with yoga, meditation, sound healing and spa treatments all available.

Evenings are often spent lingering over sunset cocktails, outdoor ‘Cinema under the Stars’ screenings or illuminated kayak excursions after dark.

Children

Although Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is popular with couples and honeymooners, it also works very well for families. The Vooc Village kids’ club offers a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, baking, nature experiences and sustainability-focused workshops.
