This luxury safari camp lies among sand dunes overlooking a dry riverbed and waterhole in the Hoanib River Valley, in Namibia's northern Damaraland, an area with a rich diversity of desert-dwelling wildlife.
Offering warm hospitality, luxurious accommodation and facilities, including a swimming pool, Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp will appeal to those seeking a remote and indulgent wilderness camp experience in a spectacular setting.
The camp provides eight spacious and stylish tents including one family unit. Each tent has been designed to blend in with the natural surroundings and features a sand-coloured canvas roof structure, simple but elegant décor and an expansive deck overlooking the unspoilt landscape.
As well as nature drives to spot the elusive, desert-dwelling elephant and lion, you can take a scenic flight to the Skeleton Coast, visit a desert oasis or race through the sand dunes in a 4WD.

Location and getting there
The camp is situated between the Palmwag area and Skeleton Coast National Park in the remote Kaokoveld in Namibia. It is accessible by light aircraft from Windhoek Airport.
There are eight ultra-stylish tents including one family unit with two bedrooms. Each tent features elegant décor, an inviting king-size bed, picture windows to maximize the views, a charming deck and all-modern amenities.
There are endless activities on offer from exploring the dry Hoanib Riverbed in search of desert-dwelling wildlife to visiting the Skeleton Coast, renowned for its seal colonies, shipwrecks and dramatic coastline.
The camp accommodates children over 6 years old, but given the remote location and ambience at the camp, it is better suited to couples or those with much older children.

Visits to Skeleton Coast
“Guests can expect an extraordinary nature safari experience at Hoanib Skeleton Coast where a stay is as educational as it is luxurious. As a host for researchers committed to conserving desert-adapted lion, brown hyaena and more, presentations by wildlife researchers take place when they're in the camp. There's also a stellar research centre and partnerships with the neighbouring conservancies of Anabeb, Torra and Sesfontein."
