During this ten-day long trip through the 'Land of Smiles', you'll discover three of Thailand’s most popular destinations: Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. Bangkok’s contagious energy will keep you on your feet, ready to explore its countless temples, markets and savour the deliciously spicy food. Whilst in Chiang Mai, stroll the old streets and learn about local life. Finish in Phuket, with time to relax by the beach.
As with all our itineraries, this journey can be tailored to suit your interests and requirements.
Day 1
Arrival
Upon arrival into Bangkok, you will be privately transferred to your accommodation.
Day 2
Bangkok
After breakfast, you'll be taken on a tour to Bangkok’s three most famous and spectacular temples. First stop is the Grand Palace where you visit the main sites including the magnificent throne halls and the Emerald Buddha. Next, Wat Pho, Bangkok’s oldest temple, home to the magnificent reclining Buddha, as well as the first school of traditional medicine and Thai massage, also regarded as Thailand’s first university. The last stop is at WatTrimitr houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha.
Day 3
Bangkok
Today you'll explore Bangkok’s old town on foot and unearth the secret alleys of street food. Stroll through local food stalls and market to enjoy the diversity of local Thai delicacies and Thai culture. Sample various kinds of local food, old-style Thai coffee and Thai sweet desserts.
Day 4
Bangkok – Chiang Mai
Today you'll be escorted to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai.
Upon arrival you'll be transferred to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city or make use of the hotel’s facilities
Day 5
Chiang Mai
Today you'll enjoy a trip to the market to buy fresh produce. You will have the opportunity to learn how to cook real Thai food in a traditional Thai setting with friendly teachers who will impart their secrets of Thai cuisine
Day 6
Chiang Mai
Today, you'll be privately escorted to Lampang, home of the Thai Elephant Conservation Center. Here you'll follow a mahout course (elephant trainer) and once your ‘mahout’ training is complete, you'll be able to walk with the elephants and admire them in their natural habitats.
Day 7
Chiang Mai - Phuket
After breakfast you'll depart from Chiang Mai and travel to your next destination, Phuket. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your accommodation.
Day 8
At leisure
It's time to relax and enjoy the facilities at your hotel. Relax on the beach, indulge in a spa treatment or enjoy some water sports.
Day 9
Day at leisure
Continue to relax at leisure. Hang out on the beach, indulge in a spa treatment or get energetic with some water sports.
Day 10
Departure
Today you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
