GAME OF THRONES FILMING LOCATIONS

Fort Lovrijenac doubles as King’s Landing in the Hollywood-style TV series. It’s just one of supposedly 19 different GoT filming locations in Dubrovnik, so you’re sure to get your fan fix if you take a stroll through the city.

STAY: Book into the Hotel Excelsior where the cast stayed during filming. Relax on your balcony that looks out over the Adriatic Sea or feed your own mini army with delicious Mediterranean food on the tranquil terrace. If you don’t want to miss a thing, take the cable car up to Srdj Hill to get a panoramic view of the city.

Arrowhead Mountain or Mount Kirkjufell on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, as it is known to the locals can be spotted in the latest series. As does the black sand of Reynisfjara beach, which is also on the south of the country.

STAY: Take a whirl around the Ring Road to take in both locations. Then along the way you can enjoy your own Icelandic adventure and go whitewater rafting, trekking and take a dip in natural hot spring.

Seville in Spain also has its own fair share of GoT riches. From the Italica Amphitheatre (Daenerys Dragonpit) to Alcázar of Sevilla, which is known to GoT fans as the Water Gardens of Dorne.

STAY: Book into the Gran Melia Colon then take in the sites while enjoying some of Seville’s classic dishes, including the delicious Seville tapas.
