The Cyclades: Santorini & Mykonos

Scattered across the cobalt waters of the Aegean, The Cyclades are our favourite Islands in Greece. Especially the luxury retreats of Mykonos and Santorini – two islands that capture all the beauty of the Mediterranean and make idyllic honeymoon settings.

Mykonos is the style capital of the Greek Islands, renowned for it glamour and A-list visitors. It certainly deserves its reputation, with plenty of high-end clubs, hip clothing stores, chilled-café bars and Aegean-facing boutique hotels, as well as some gorgeous beaches. But Mykonos also has a charming, traditional side – particularly in the capital Mykonos Town – where a hotchpotch of whitewashed blue-doored house stand on bluff overlooking a stunning harbour.

Its sister island Santorini has an iconic beauty that has seen it provide the setting for several major films. Quieter than Mykonos, and imbued with an intangible romance that makes perfect for weddings and honeymoons, Santorini is arguably the most charming spot in the Greek Islands.

Santorini is famous for its blue-domed churches and cliff-side whitewashed villages overlooking turquoise waters. Our favourite spots include in picturesque village of Oia with its splashes of pink houses and the stunning Amoudi Bay. While, breathtaking beaches and a lush flower-speckled interior complete a quite extraordinary island.
