Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta in Botswana is the largest inland delta in the world, which has created an incredible home to a huge oasis of wildlife. It also has the highest density of African wild dog packs on the continent.

There are numerous lodges dotted around as well as stunning, luxury safari camps – many of which offer walking safaris. During your safari try any of these highlights – tracking big game on foot, viewing the “Big Five”, Mokoro (canoe) excursions, fishing, birdwatching, or even take a plane safari for an aerial view of the incredible wildlife.

If you’re going for the game viewing, most animals meet up around the waterholes from May to October. Birds and vegetation thrive in the area’s rainy season from November to April, with birds returning from their migration and plants bursting with rich color.
