MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL MAKEOVERS FOR 2019

The Grand Dame of the Lion City is ready to throw open her doors once more in August 2019. Apart from a chic new lobby, they are introducing three new restaurants headed by celebrity chefs Alain Ducasse, Anne-Sophie Pic and Jereme Leung. They will also be introducing three new styles of suites, including the Residence Suites for long-term guests and Promenade Suites that have 24 hour check-in. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is back with an entire revamped West Wing, a sparkling new restaurant – Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, a state-of-the-art spa and an array of luxurious suites. Art lovers will be pleased to know that they will be able to find works by photographer Mary McCartney and avante garde designers Frederikson Stallard as well as Chinese pottery from the Ch’ing Dynasty.

The next Dubai property set to have a makeover is the Burj Al Arab, which closes for refurbishment in the summer of 2019.
