Desna Setiawan

Growing up in what is locally known as “The Island of God”, Desna hails from a small village in West Bali close to the beach. As a child, he loved learning about different cultures, trying new foods, and discovering landscapes that have kept their authenticity. With so many unrevealed secrets on the island, combined with its calm atmosphere and charming people, he can’t bring himself to move away. 

After graduating from university, Desna started his career as a teacher and lecturer at a tourism school, which gave him his first desire to travel. He spent 10 years in education, where his greatest challenge was teaching children with autism. He found that they responded to his teaching style and also felt excitement when he introduced them to the world. 

Desna’s love for travel inspired him to move to Denpasar where he discovered Lightfoot Travel and joined as a Sales Support Coordinator. He’s hoping that soon he will be able to realize his dreams of venturing further afar and exploring the world beyond Bali.
