Zannier Omaanda

Namibia

Zannier Omaanda is a five-star lodge set within a 9,000-hectare private animal conservation reserve just outside Windhoek, Namibia’s capital. Designed to mirror traditional Owambo architecture, the camp comprises fifteen luxurious thatched huts with expansive views across the savannah. A restaurant, infinity pool, cosy bar, spa and open-air boma complete the offering. Ideal for luxury holidays to Namibia, this is a destination where thoughtful design meets meaningful wildlife experiences.

Accommodation

Each of the fifteen huts features a king-sized bed, an open fireplace, a dressing room, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, a bathtub with a view, and a double vanity. Amenities include Wi-Fi, an integrated sound system, a minibar, air conditioning, and a television. The camp comprises 12 one-bedroom huts for up to two adults and one child, and three two-bedroom huts with shared living areas and en suite bathrooms.

Food and Drink

Breakfast is served à la carte and includes fresh juices, seasonal fruit, granola, and cooked options. Lunch is a mezze-style affair focusing on fresh salads, homemade breads, veggies, meat and fish. Dinner is a more formal four-course menu, with local game, vegetarian and fish dishes. Guests can also enjoy snacks and drinks at the pool bar or unwind with fine wines and rare spirits by the outdoor fireplace in the lounge bar.

Activities

Twice-daily shared excursions showcase the reserve's wildlife and scenery, including sunrise and sunset drives with light refreshments. Additional private or themed safaris can be arranged, including rhino, elephant or carnivore tracking. The reserve is also home to the Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary, a collaborative conservation project offering guided educational tours and visits with the anti-poaching unit. For downtime, head to the infinity pool or retreat to the open-sided spa treatment rooms, which offer inspiring views whilst being pampered.

Sustainability

Zannier Omaanda received Green Globe certification in December 2024, recognising its sustainability practices. To minimise environmental impact, the lodge employs eco-conscious design, solar power, water bottling, and on-site treatment systems. The brand’s commitment extends to using natural materials and prioritising renewable energy solutions across daily operations.

Children

For safety reasons, children under six are not permitted, and some activities hosted by the lodge may not be suitable for those under 16. However, the team can arrange age-appropriate experiences such as kitchen visits, board games, and conservation-focused learning for younger guests.

How to Get There

The property is approximately 40 minutes by road from Hosea Kutako International Airport, or around an hour from Windhoek Eros Airport, which serves only domestic flights.
