Day 1
Arrival in Cape Town
Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and escorted to your accommodation.
The remainder of the day will be spent at your leisure.

Day 2
Full Day Local Minivan & Guide Charter
Today you will be escorted on a tour around Cape Town.
Family activities abound here. Head to Simon’s Town to view the penguins at Boulders Beach, see the sea life at the V&A Waterfront, or feed the lambs, calves and rabbits at Imhoff’s Farm in Kommetjie. For a spot of nature go to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, World of Birds in Hout Bay or take a boat trip to Seal Island to see the seals play. The Warrior Toy Museum, Cape Town’s Planetarium and Reptile World also make for fun excursions. Alternatively, visit the wine estate in Stellenbosch for a tasting while the kids feed the ducks or ride a pony.

Day 3
Private Full Day Out In The Winelands: Private Full Day
Today you’ll take in the sights of The Winelands.
First, you’ll get to sample a selection of some of the finest ‘family-friendly’ estates that include grape juice and chocolate tastings. Then you’ll head on a two-hour Segway tour to experience the farm’s vineyards and pastures.
You’ll continue to Middlevlei in the Devon Valley for a traditional South African barbecue (braai) where children receive a special basket with treats to cook themselves.
End your day in the village of Paarl where you can visit a craft beer brewery, a biltong bar, a glass-blowing studio, the Franschhoek Motor Museum, or go on a guided chocolate tasting tour.

Day 4
Cape Town - Limpopo
Today you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Limpopo.
Situated in the central Limpopo province, the malaria free Waterberg Biosphere is a scenic and wildlife rich area.
Ants Nest is a private bush home which allows children of all ages to join their parents on all game viewing activities. There are ponies on the property that cater to both novice and experienced riders, as well as “bug walks” with guides, a trampoline, sand pits and a selection of toys and books.

Day 5
Limpopo
These few days will be spent enjoying safari activities and relaxing at your accommodation.
You’ll wake early to enjoy breakfast before embarking on your morning safari activity.
After 3 - 4 hours, brunch will be served back at the home.
The afternoon will be spent at your leisure before you have some refreshments and head out for your afternoon safari activity.
You’ll return to the lodge to enjoy a drink around the campfire before dinner.

Day 6
Limpopo
Continue to enjoy safari activities and relaxing at your accommodation.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can talk you through activities suitable to your needs prior to departure.

Day 7
Limpopo > Madikwe Game Reserve
Madikwe is a family-friendly reserve in the north of the country, bordering Botswana.
Madikwe Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s newer and prime safari destinations situated in the malaria free North West Province, bordering Botswana. The lions in Madikwe originate from Etosha in Namibia, and are known to hunt very large prey such as giraffe which makes for impressive sightings.

Day 8
Madikwe Game Reserve
These few days will be spent enjoying safari activities and relaxing at your accommodation (those as young as two permitted on the dedicated family drives in the late morning).
You’ll wake early to enjoy breakfast before embarking on your morning safari activity.
After 3 - 4 hours, brunch will be served back at the home.
The afternoon will be spent at your leisure.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll have refreshments before heading out for your afternoon safari activity.
You’ll then return to the lodge to enjoy a drink around the campfire before dinner.

Day 9
Madikwe Game Reserve
Continue to enjoy safari activities and relaxing at your accommodation.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can recommend activities suitable to your needs prior to departure.

Day 10
Departure
Today you’ll be privately transferred to the airport for your onward journey.

- Indulge in a traditional South African barbecue in Middlevlei
- Embark on bug walks, safari tours and horse riding at Ants Nest
