Grand Hotel Zermatterhof is located in the mountain town of Zermatt, high in the Swiss Alps. Milan International Airport is approximately 220 km (3 hours) by car. Zermatt is a car-free town. Guests are brought to the hotel by Zermatterhof horse-drawn carriage or electric bus.

The sophisticated and elegant rooms of Grand Hotel Zermatterhof would be right at home in the world’s leading urban cities were it not for the majestic sight of the Matterhorn rising to the west. 78 spacious rooms are exquisitely appointed with easy elegance and modern style. Wide panorama windows look out onto the mountain landscape, with most rooms offering views of the iconic Matterhorn itself. Marble bathrooms, heated towel racks, deluxe bedding, and luxurious amenities create private retreats. Some rooms even offer fireplaces and separate lounge areas.

Grand Hotel Zermatterhof offers a variety of on-site activities to pamper and entertain guests. The alpine spa provides a range of classic treatments, as well as the opportunity to break a sweat and get fit. Enjoy a massage, a steam bath, or a refreshing break in the ice grotto. Swim laps in the pool. Play match points on the tennis court or simply relax. Skiing, shopping, dining, and nightlife can also be found nearby.

Of course, the draw of Zermatt is undoubtedly the Matterhorn itself. This towering mountain has made the town an international holiday destination for over 150 years and is always center stage. Take in the majestic views from the mountains nearby where 400 km of hiking trails and 100 km of mountain biking trails beckon to bold adventurers. Climbing, mountaineering, and golf are also close at hand. And from January to December, skiers can hit the slopes in Europe’s highest year-round skiing region.
