Tanzania is like a giant playground, which is perfect for kids, teens and adults, as there’s plenty to keep families entertained and inspired; the star attraction - of course - being the Great Migration.

Watch this spectacle that sees mind blowing numbers of wildebeest and zebra cross the Serengeti, travelling through crocodile-filled waters and lands owned by the majestic big five. Children can enjoy separate safaris and exciting activities before joining up with the adults in the evenings.

Stay in larger luxury lodges in the north of the country, which tend to have fewer wild animals wandering past, but are generally considered more family-friendly and safer for little ones with a host of bonding activities on the side.

Away from animal spotting, the country’s beaches are ideal for a relaxing break from the crowds, with snorkelling, swimming and kayaking available for kids. The beachside hotels boast kids’ facilities and swimming pools, and spas and bars for adults.
