Galton House

Namibia

Set atop a hill in Windhoek’s quiet, affluent suburb of Eros, Galton House is named after the famous explorer, Sir Francis Galton. This modern guesthouse boasts impressive wildlife photography, appealing to guests who usually visit at the beginning or end of a Namibian safari.

There are nine guestrooms with different layouts accommodating doubles, twins and family en suite rooms. The spacious rooms have a cosy, welcoming feel with minimalist décor, plenty of natural light, and bright colourful cushions. There’s also a dayroom complete with bathroom and lounge for early arrivals or late departures.

The onsite restaurant serves tasty meals, either in the dining room or alfresco area next to the swimming pool, plus there are several comfortable lounge areas for relaxing.

A ten-minute drive from the centre of town, Galton House is a great base for exploring Windhoek and is within easy reach of a number of shops and restaurants.

Why we recommend Galton House

“Guests receive a warm welcome and expert hospitality at Galton House, a small boutique guesthouse named after the early explorer Sir Francis Galton in the upmarket suburb of Windhoek. The rooms are nicely designed and decorated with a minimalist style with flashes of bright colour. There’s a homely, comfortable feel, and the food is particularly good thanks to a kitchen that produces delicious and healthy dishes. We'd recommend Galton House as a well-run overnight stop in Windhoek before or after your Namibia safari."
