Accommodation

All but hidden amid a canopy of magnificent indigenous trees, Xigera Safari Lodge offers 12 spacious suites; each individually designed. For multi-generational safari travellers, there is the impressive two-bedroom Family Suite.

The Fan Palm Suite presents a beautiful celebration of earth tones, from burnt red and walnut to ash and biscuit-coloured clay, while The Mangosteen's colours are reflected in the suite's custom bedspread and ebonised kiaat bed.

The Knobthorn Suite is the suite's spring green custom Kassena Server by Dokter and Misses pays homage to the knobthorn tree, found along the water's edge and symbolic of the Okavango Delta's evergreen forests.

The Leadwood Suite showcases unique, hand-crafted bowls created with leadwood sourced from a farmer in the Limpopo Valley. The Sausage Tree Suite looks beautiful in flower, while its trunk is often used to create the mekoro used in the Delta. The beauty of the tree is conceptualised by the suite's ruby-red textiles and design aesthetic.

Exceptionally designed to echo the jade-green celadon hues of the jackal berry tree's fruit, The Jackalberry Suite has at its heart an Imbizo dining table by Chuma Maweni, with an ebonised kiaat timber top, hand carved with motifs.

The Marula Suite's design is inevitably spectacular, from the unique egg cup chair by Adam Birch to the three-stripe karakul by Coral & Hive.\

The last is The Sycamore Suite. With its deeply fluted trunk and bright orange bark - the hues of which are highlighted in this beautiful suite - the sycamore is one of Botswana's most impressive trees. The suite's nested Carrera tables by Duchenne in walnut, kiaat and light granite, complement the vibrant colours.

Activities

Xigera Safari Lodge is proud to showcase a collection of extraordinary experiences that reflect our exceptional lodge and offer unique opportunities to explore this breathtaking location. Xigera Safari Lodge offers you the freedom to create your own Okavango Delta adventure, which is why it offers a uniquely flexible approach to your daily safari game drives. While there is always the option of an early-morning drive – when the cooler temperatures offer ideal conditions for game-viewing – for you who prefer a slower start to the day, perhaps with a rejuvenating yoga session on the spa deck, may also choose to head out later in the morning.

Walking safaris – led by your expert guides – are an opportunity to get your feet into the soil of the African wilderness. To truly connect with nature, and feel your senses sharpen.

An experience unique to the Delta is a morning spent gliding along flooded channels by mokoro, the dugout canoe used by generations for transport in a region where there are many more rivers than roads.

Children

Children aged 6 and above are warmly welcomed at Xigera Safari Lodge. Please note that the full adult rate is charged. Given the wilderness location of the lodge, children aged between 6 and 16 years must share a suite with one adult.
