Lucma Lodge

Cusco, Sacred Valley, & Machu Picchu

Situated on the mountainside surrounded by avocado orchards and sub-tropical jungle, Lucma Lodge is the last lodge on the Salkantay Trail. This seven-day, lodge-to-lodge trek ending at Machu Picchu is run by Mountain Lodges of Peru, which owns and runs the four lodges en route.

Lucma Lodge was inspired by traditional Incan building techniques, and has been designed to blend into the natural landscape. The six heated rooms have double or twin beds, with some rooms accommodating a third bed, each with goose-down bedding and private en suites with hot showers and toiletries.

The lodge is designed to offer a rejuvenating overnight stay on a relatively challenging trekking route. There’s an outdoor Jacuzzi with superb views across the valley, massage service, and welcoming lounge bar with fireplace.

Meals are a multi-course affair featuring Peruvian-fusion cuisine complemented by select wines. All ingredients are locally sourced, including the excellent organic coffee.

Why we recommend Lucma Lodge

“Lucma lodge is very unique, picturesque and tranquil. The windows offer great views and a wonderful feeling of peace and space.”
