Ocean Nova

Antarctica

Constructed in 1992, the Danish-built Ocean Nova was designed to navigate the waters of Greenland. Fully refurbished in 2006, this modern expedition ship has an ice-strengthened hull and window-lined observation deck, making it ideal for Antarctic cruises.

The Ocean Nova provides unique eight-day fly/cruise expeditions to Antarctica. This offers adventurers the opportunity to explore the White Continent while avoiding the choppy waters of the Drake Passage.

Ocean Nova accommodates up to 68 guests in 38 single, twin and triple cabins. The comfortable cabins all feature exterior views, en suites with shower and toilet, and individually controlled heating systems. The modern ship also has a dining room, bar, Polar library, and fitness room.

In addition to marvelling at the landscape and observing Polar wildlife from the ship, Zodiac boats take guests closer to wildlife and ice formations, and to shore to go hiking, snowshoeing, or sea kayaking. In the evenings, Antarctic experts give presentations on Antarctica’s flora, fauna and history.
