Storchen Zurich

Zurich

This luxury boutique hotel is set on the Limmat River in the heart of Zurich’s old city. Housed in a 650-year-old building, the Storchen Zurich combines traditional Zurich style with contemporary comforts and a homely feel.

After a multi-million renovation, the interior is all about colossal vases, marble flooring, and a mauve and dove grey palette. The 67 spacious and tastefully appointed rooms and suites come with an art nouveau flair, velvet armchairs, arty wallpaper, and bathrooms of black marble. The hotel’s top suite, the Storchen Suite comes with a delightful terrace with impressive views.

River-facing La Rotisserie is the setting for breakfast. The showpiece is Barchetta, a glass-fronted café-bar that stretches from the square along the river and is often full of locals.

Storchen Zurich is ideally located close to Paradeplatz and the exclusive shopping district of Bahnhofstrasse, as well as the Kunsthaus Art Museum and the famous Zurich Opera House.
