French PolynesiaSet on the private islet of Motu Tautau overlooking Taha’a and Bora Bora, Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa is an enchanting island hideaway. The only Relais & Chateaux property in French Polynesia, this exquisite resort blends traditional Polynesian aesthetic with barefoot luxury.
The resort has 58 suites and villas, which are mostly overwater bungalows. The thatched-roof structures are categorized according to view – sunset, Taha’a, or Bora Bora – with traditional Polynesian décor. Overwater bungalows have private terraces leading into the ocean, while beach villas have plunge pools, private gardens, and direct beach access.
There are three restaurants. Le Vanille serves breakfasts and local and international dishes at dinner, La Plage offers fresh salads and seafood, while the gourmet Ohiri has a creative menu of French-Polynesian fusion cuisine.
Guests can be as active or relaxed as they wish, with superb diving and snorkeling, jet-ski tours, excursions to a vanilla plantation and rum distillery on Taha’a, and a delightful island spa.
