Four Seasons Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai & the Golden TriangleSet in the Mae Rim Valley, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai sits within lush, landscaped gardens surrounded by emerald rice paddies. Designed to resemble a traditional Thai village with Lanna-style architecture, this luxury resort is both a magical base for exploring the region and a sanctuary of wellbeing.
There are 98 luxurious rooms, divided between pavilions, villas and private residences. Rooms feature lofty, vaulted ceilings, polished teak floors, and exquisite Thai fabrics, artefacts and paintings. An outdoor Thai sala overlooks the gardens or rice paddies and mountains, while some feature private pools and personal butlers.
There are three restaurants showcasing Thai, Burmese and Yunanese cuisines, as well as Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Guests can also watch cookery demonstrations and take cookery classes.
The spa offers traditional Thai and detox programmes, complemented by yoga and meditation classes. If you can be tempted further afield, Chiang Mai is a short 20-minute journey away.
