Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort

Malaysian Borneo

Tucked amongst mangrove forests and freshwater lagoons, the Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort is an eco-lodge in the remote wilderness of Lower Kinabatangan. Powered by solar energy with its own water treatment facilities, this rustic lodge offers an immersive jungle experience for nature lovers.

There are 10 deluxe wooden cabins, connected to the Long House and Main Lodge via a network of raised boardwalks. The cabins offer simple accommodation with local textiles, ceiling fans, spacious en suites with indoor/outdoor showers, and verandas overlooking the jungle. The Long House provides four budget twin rooms.

The Main Lodge houses a buffet-style restaurant showcasing traditional local cuisine. Plans are underway to construct a swimming pool.

The wetlands are of international importance, with an array of rare and endangered mammals, birds, reptiles and flora. Trained guides accompany guests on day and night explorations, along with morning and afternoon river cruises. Local villages visits can also be arranged.
