The Edison
PenangSituated in the centre of George Town, The Edison was a local tycoon’s mansion in the early 1900s. Today it offers a contemporary, high spec escape from the busy city. Bedrooms are well appointed and feel super modern with splashes of bold, bright colours.
This boutique hotel offers 35 well-appointed guestrooms and visitors can choose from three room categories, including a family suite. The design of the hotel is a plus-point, marrying old colonial chic with a fresh contemporary look and an Art Deco detailing.
Facilities include a downstairs lounge with unlimited access to snacks and beverages, and upstairs there’s another cosy lounge complete with wooden rocking chairs. Enjoy an afternoon dip in the pool or lie back in one of the private cabanas. The well-lit courtyard in the middle of the property is beautifully adorned with pink cast-iron columns and decorative frescos.
