St Regis LhasaTibet
The St Regis Lhasa is a hotel soaked in traditional Tibetan culture. The imposing façade creates a perfect backdrop for your Himalayan adventure, and inside huge exposed beams, locally woven carpets, and paintings of Tibetan nomads adorns the walls.
There are 205 rooms spread over eight separate buildings. There are also villas available to guests that range from two to 12 rooms. Guests looking for something a little bit more special can opt for a room or suite with uninterrupted views out to the nearby Potala Palace.
Guests are spoilt by a selection of five dining venues: Si Zi Kang serving up traditional Tibetan dishes; Social with its assortment of international cuisine; Yan Ting boasting an extensive Chinese menu; the Drawing Room serving over 40 varieties of tea; and Decanter is a wine bar with a terrace looking out to the Potala Palace.

Location & Getting There
The St Regis Lhasa is conveniently located within walking distance of the Barkhor Square and the Old Town. It is 40 minutes by car from Lhasa Gongar Airport and a 10-minute drive from the world’s highest railway station.

The rooms are richly decorated in exotic tones with warm wood finishes. Guests looking for something a little bit more special can opt for a room or suite with uninterrupted views out to the nearby Potala Palace.
The St Regis Lhasa benefits from being located in the heart of the city and is within a short distance to Potala Palace and some of the best restaurants and shops in the city. Guests can also walk out to Barkhor Square (a traditional Tibetan shopping market), as well as Jokhang Temple.
The best time to visit Tibet is from April to October. July to September is the rainy season, but during this time the surrounding countryside will turn green and the rivers will fill up, crisscrossing the countryside.
