Gorilla Forest Camp
UgandaDeep in the heart of Uganda’s UNESCO-listed Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is an atmospheric retreat offering unforgettable encounters with rare mountain gorillas. Located on a flat ridge high in the forest, this camp offers a high standard of stay considering its remote location.
Accommodation is in eight spacious tents set on raised wooden platforms. Each has a queen-sized bed draped in mosquito netting, private veranda, and en suite with shower, flushing toilet and bathtub.
The restaurant serves hearty home-cooked meals, and guests have the option of a private candlelit dinner on their deck. There’s also a comfortable lounge and bar, and terrace with boma.
The highlight is gorilla trekking (if you’re lucky you may see a gorilla wandering through the camp). Guests can also visit tribal villages and community projects, and enjoy birding and forest walks. The mini spa is the ideal place to unwind.
