Entamanu Ngorongoro

Located on the northwestern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, Entamanu Ngorongoro is a luxury tented camp run by Nomad Tanzania. Set off the beaten track, the sustainably built camp offers magnificent sunrise views over the crater and sunset vistas over the Serengeti.

There are seven tents including two family units, built to withstand the blustery winds and cooler temperatures found on the crater rim. The heated canvas rooms have down duvets, woollen throws and sheepskins to provide warmth, while the en suites have twin basins, flush toilets and hot showers. Each room has a shaded deck facing into the crater.

The communal tent contains the dining room and two spacious lounges, and there’s a long viewing deck outside.

Activities include game drives into the crater, guided walks and drives in the Ngorongoro Highlands, cultural visits to the neighbouring Maasai village, and birdwatching. It’s also possible to visit Olduvai and the Empakaai Crater from here.
