One&Only Nyungwe House

Located south of Lake Kivu in southwest Rwanda, One&Only Nyungwe House is sandwiched between tea plantations and the Nyungwe Forest National Park. Surrounded by ancient rainforest, this exclusive luxury lodge offers guest a fascinating insight into African wildlife and culture.

There are 23 guestrooms and suites set across nine luxury villas. The welcoming en suite rooms feature open fireplaces with fragrant eucalyptus wood, and are adorned with Rwandan art. Outside, a large private deck gives you a front row seat of the verdant forest.

The dining room serves farm-to-table cuisine showcasing flavours of the region. There’s also a tea lounge that plays host to a daily tea ceremony, and a bar.

Guests can enjoy hiking, a canopy walk and birdwatching, although the highlight is a trip deep into the forest in search of chimpanzees and Colobus monkeys. Back at the lodge, take a dip in the infinity pool or workout in the gym.
