Masoala Forest Lodge
MadagascarSet on the fringes of Masoala National Park, Masoala Forest Lodge in Madagascar, Africa occupies a golden stretch of sand on Madagascar’s eastern coastline. A scenic two hour boat transfer from Maroansetra, this tented paradise is built in the traditional Malagasy style.
Masoala Forest Lodge is home to seven palm-thatched tree houses are elevated on stilted platforms, offering fantastic views of both the forest canopy and Indian Ocean. Interiors are airy and minimalist with outdoor verandas and shaded hammocks.
Savour cuisine at the Beach House where produce is sourced directly from the lodge gardens, rainforest and sea. The over-water stilted Sea Deck is perfect for sampling local teas, infusions from the rainforest and home-grown roasted coffee.
Enjoy snorkelling through the coral rich waters of Tampolo Parc Marin, sea kayak through mangroves or take guided forest walks at night to spot nocturnal wildlife. Visit neighbouring villages and explore local cultures or indulge in a massage at the Spa Tent.
