Ruckomechi Camp is located in a Big Five private concession in the heart of the Zambezi Valley’s Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe.

The charming camp provides ten spacious and stylish canvas tents including a romantic honeymoon suite with an open-air bathtub. Each tent lies on the riverfront and features striking interiors and a big verandah – the perfect spot to relax with a G&T as you admire the spectacular views.
Start the day with an early morning game drive to spot elephant, buffalo, lion and other game, enjoy an afternoon boat trip on the Zambezi River and later head out on a bush walk with one of the camp’s knowledgeable guides. You can even spend the night under the stars on the unique sleep-out deck. A romantic bath on the banks of the river is a must.
The camp is closed between mid-November and May every year.

- Location and getting there:
The camp is located on the western boundary of the renowned Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. It can be reached by an hour-long light aircraft flight from Harare or by road/boat transfer from Lusaka or Victoria Falls. The nearest airstrip is Mana West, a 20-minute drive from the camp.
Ruckomechi Camp comprises 10 tented suites including a honeymoon suite and a 2-bed family chalet, all tastefully decorated with local accents. Each tent features an open-plan ensuite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and French doors leading to a wooden verandah.
Central dining, bar, library and lounge areas
There is an array of land and water activities on offer: morning and evening game drives; river cruises; canoe trips; bird watching; fishing and game spotting from the camp’s hides.
Children aged 6 years old and over are welcome but given the nature of the camp, it is better suited to couples or families with older children.
